Title: Speedometer Cable Leak Post by DavidV on 07/15/17 at 14:15:30 I was reading the thread about the speedo cable leak. A bonded sealing washer from Home Depot was recommended. I can't seem to see the pictures in that thread. "Image shack?" keeps popping up. Anyone have the part number? Sorry if I have asked this question in the wrong place...I'm new to this. |
Title: Re: Speedometer Cable Leak Post by norm92de on 07/15/17 at 14:22:35 I'd buy the proper oil seal. How much can it cost and it will probably seal better than anything else. |
Title: Re: Speedometer Cable Leak Post by DavidV on 07/15/17 at 14:28:42 Granted, it was an older thread but, my impression was that there was no seal available or that it did not work well? |

Title: Re: Speedometer Cable Leak Post by Dave on 07/18/17 at 03:46:05 That "Bonded Sealing Washer" was an early thread....the proper oil seal is listed in the Tech Section under the "Leaks" heading. I realize the first post is a new member and he may not yet know about the Tech Section and the Table of Contents for the items listed. (You really can find a lot of good information in the Tech Section......if you look). http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1181745927 http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1268286763 |
