Title: Not any longer!
Post by Dave on 07/06/17 at 08:00:11

There was a time in my life I would have enjoyed this thrill.

I still believe I would have fun doing this - but at a much slower pace and with about a dozen stops to catch my breath.

Not any longer?  Not ever for me, I don't like breaking bones!  I do admire that guy's skill.  Picking the best line down that track at that speed is pretty impressive.

Looks fun, but that dude is going way too fast foe me.  Maybe that's why he's winning WC races!  Honestly, the camera flattens stuff out and some of the drops into these switchbacks look steep on camera.  I'd probably walk 10-20% of that course, even when I was younger.  Maybe more.  I don't like breaking bones either.

I always said that when I want to ride a bicycle like a motorcycle, I'll get back into motocross.

That took so long the knot finally unwound in my gut.

The penalty for One lapse or indecisive moment looked like Hospital or worse. I'd ride the trail, but the only way I'd go near that fast is if the brakes failed.

Looks like a BLAST!!!

I've ridden some trails that are accessed by ski lifts / gondolas in the Park City, UT area and this type of riding is so much fun. Granted, he is riding much faster than I would ever ride it, I would still ride that trail.

Just be sure your GoPro is securely fastened  :-[ I lost mine on one of those trails. Very expensive lesson to learn about making sure it is properly tethered in case the mount itself breaks in rough terrain.
