I need to replace a damaged 2017 S40 rear footrest . Checking all the suppliers who all have the same parts catalogue , a parts diagram doesn't exist . Went back as far as 1986 and nothing . The Clymer Manual has no parts diagram either . Checked with dealer nothing also . It's the same style as the front but about an inch shorter .
Any help please :o

You could try Ron Ayers, for the parts ,and he has exploded views of most of the bike ,each piece is numbered ,described,and priced.I believe the peg is the same for all years,and the right and left peg are the same.

Some of the parts for the pillion footrests are interchangeable but some are not. I believe they are sold as an assembly, but I'm not sure.

I don't understand why you and/or the dealer couldn't find a parts diagram for the rear foot rest. They are available, and you can buy the parts individually.....or the whole thing.

Sounds to me like your local Suzuki Dealer has an incompetent parts guy!

If you had read the parts list it's for front only .

Nope:

Parts 13 through 27 are all for the "Pillion" footrest - which is for the passenger.

Ok your right . Part numbers don't reference rear but front ,footrest part 5 and bar, pillion part 14 are physically different in shape where the end inserts into its attachment . So yes the pillion is definitely the rear after looking at it on my bike . Thanks for your help .
I just checked definition of pillion " a seat for a passenger behind a motorcyclist " :)

You can buy the parts new - but as Verslagen has indicated.....the used parts are cheap and readily available. Most of the RYCA and Bobber guys on this forum take the passenger footpegs off - so it should be easy for you to find what you need in the Marketplace on this forum.

Was considering removing rear pegs . I don't carry a passenger so it would save me a few bucks . Thanks for the advice .
