About a month ago I bought an 86, want to replace the rubber parts of the front brake, local dealer says they don't have parts due to the age, am I going to have a hard time finding parts for my new toy, or is this guy blowing smoke up my tushy? any help appreciated, Thanks!

Just buy it for a '17, they're the same parts.

Go online, look up the parts for the '86 and the '17
most likely they the same part number.
if they have changed they roll the last 2 digits.
usually they are backwards compatible.
if they don't look the same, ask.

I have very nice rotor & caliper with new EBC pads from a 96 that had only 809 miles. 100 bucks shipped !
