Title: mixture screw? carb filter? Post by swing69 on 06/18/17 at 17:43:03 2001 Savage stock carb. What is the "stack" on the mixture screw? rubber O-ring (first into the hole), small washer, spring, all on screw? Also: in the "diagram" underneath the float needle seat, there is something called "filter". Really???? there is a filter under there????? thanks |

Aren't you satisfied with the results you got in the thread you started? http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1497554400 This is the same forum...same bunch of people - you won't likely get a different answer in this thread. ;) I think a mixture screw with a knob on it would be nice - it would allow you to set the mixture without finding your small screw driver. Most carbs used to have a screw with a knurled head on it......but the EPA prefers you don't mess with that screw. On some motorcycles I have worked on it is nearly impossible to get a screwdriver to the place where the mixture screw is located.....the screw on the Savage is easy to access. |
