They says if you push up on the roof of your mouth with your thumb for a minute or so the pain goes away. Just make sure your smart a$$ friends aren't shooting video of you sucking your thumb , looks bad on facebook you never know who's watching ! It does work !

My sister-in-law dentist told us the brain freeze is caused by a blood vessel in the roof of your mouth that flows up toward your brain.

When you get the roof of you mouth really cold, the blood in the vein is cooled and your brain doesn't like cold blood!
