So as not to hijack the SWM thread, go to www.Jawa Moto s.r.o and check out their 660 single.

Interesting bike! Especially the mono-shock design. The first thing I noticed was the tank  :) .... then all the things I'd want to modify  8-)

... I think I've got the bug!

Thanks for the site link, nice looking bikes.  The 650 is a little heavier than I would like at my age.  While I was on their site I clicked on the 350's and they are also great looking bikes with a weight of only about 330 lbs but the horsepower is naturally less than we are accustomed to with our Savages.  I wish some of these new European bikes were sold around here.

It's a great day here, sunny and warm, time to go for a ride.

Those 350's haven't changed much since I brought one in 1976, as they're two strokes, they won't meet EU and probably US emission regulations, they haven't been sold in this country for years.

I see that now JC, you're right, they must be making them for some Asian market or some other country that doesn't worry about pollution.  I do remember the 250 and 350 Jawas and the very similar Puchs of the sixties and rode a few of them.

now that Mahindra owns Jawa and BSA, I wonder how the new models are going to turn out? Maybe some rebranded Yezdi crock of shite (not really but you never know how much extra cheapness Indians can build into otherwise good stuff).
