If we had started when we were younger....the Group Rides might look a bit different! :o

Yeah that ship has long since sailed on that for all you old farts !  ;D

I still own an old twin shock old school trials bike for riding in the mountains. I'm not much for all that bouncy krap. It's easy to ride fast and not so easy to ride slow.

The ship has left port for me - but I can still see the wake!

I sold my Sherco in 2013.....I still miss it.  That bouncy crap was just getting too hard on my wrist.

Back in the middle ages, I did the Winter Scrambles thing and won a lot of races in my class (125cc & lower).

However, now (some 50 years later) I can barely walk, let alone do the "bouncy" thing!

Now, I just like to sit on the seat, hang onto the handlebars for dear life, and be like a bump on a log!!

Getting old is not too much fun!

I will be visiting family in Lexington/Columbia this next week.
Are you just on the south side of Columbia?

No, I am in the upstate near Greenville, SC, just west of it, and about 10 miles west of Easley, just off route 123.

I will tell you, there is some GREAT riding up here (or down depending on where you are!) .  If one follows Route 178 north up through Pickens, then on up to Brevard, NC, and then on up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, one will get a wonderful ride.  Relaxing and awesome!  MUCH better than the Tail of the Dragon and with out the sprocket rockets  nearly knocking you over.

You know you're getting old when the pain of success is more than you can take.
