The Clymer manual at present is up to 2015 , is it good for 2017 . I purchased the Raptor 660 Petcock incase mine failed in the future . However my bike has two ports the Raptor has one . I must presume there are mechanical difference's with earlier models
I require the manual to find the torque settings of the front fork axel and pinch bolts . I'm installing the superbrace .
Will adding the brace affect my warranty ? :-/

The 2015 book is fine ,When you install the Raptor you have to plug the opening in the carb where the vacuum line was fitted.adding the brace will not effect the warranty,your not changing parts your adding an accessory .

OuGood thinking to get that Raptor petcock!
I'm new to the Savage, and due to this great forum and it's members the petcock was highly recomended.
Just got mine in the mail today!!! Along with a Dorman vacum plug assortment.

As Batman stated the vacum port will need plugged

Yes it's a great forum to access so much useful information . I too am a first time S40 owner and new to riding . What is the Dorman Vacuum plug kit for ?

To plug off that vacum port that the stock petcock gets its vacum from, the raptor is not vacum operated.
I opted for the assortment, as I work on all different sorts of equipmwnt, cars, trucks bikes, etc. And I'm tired of using a piece of fuel line with a bolt stuck in it to plug things!!!

The 4mm caps go on nice and snug. I've been told by the guys here that they do perish after a year or two, so I carry a couple in my bike's tool box as backup :)

Those plugs can be bought at any parts store.
