Why does no one ever give it a good proper rev. I want to hear it not get a teaser trailer.

To be honest, I did the Dyna thing and then compared to simply drilling holes in the back of original. Actually liked the holes in original better, but the looks not as good! However, no matter how you try, you can't make one of these sound or look like a Harley! I can't imagine anyone wanting to.

I still prefer the original quiet - so, I went back to that. Had a VERY GOOD enjoyable QUIET trip up the windy roads of Upper South Carolina into the hilly roads through North Carolina's woods up to the Parkway.

Quiet is better!

It would be REALLY good to have an audio comparison on the road, to hear the difference under load and on decel! It sounds much better than revving it in neutral.

I'm gonna give some thought on how to do that with the Dyna (Can no longer do it with the stock muffler). I'll see if I can eliminate the wind noise. Also gotta consider the saddlebags because they interfere with how the sound travels to the rider.

Am I really gonna strap my phone to the underside/back of my saddlebags?! ;) :o 8-)

... actually I might have a cheap mic with a long chord around here somewhere which could plug into my phone!

When I give mine a good rev in neutral it's pretty good, but honestly at some point the engine sound coming out of the air intake is probably louder. Its better under load. :)

I bought a Dyna from Super Thumper for my S40 Bobber but it was expensive importing it to the UK - still looking for one over here for my LS650 chop - without a Catalytic in it - love the sound of the Dyna
I had a fishtail fitted to my LS650 but had to swap for the stock with 8 holes drilled in the end cap - still not as deep sounding as the Dyna - looks crap too :-(
