I for one would be screwed if this passes the senate. Thoughts? |

Title: Re: AHCA Post by Ed L. on 05/07/17 at 06:44:10 After the last 8 years, I doubt you'll need it.... That's a pretty stupid statement So far Obamacare has been a better health care plan than anything I had before. My premiums are about 30% of what I was paying pre AHA, I can see the doctor of my choice and checkups are free. |

Gee, I have a Cadillac plan that they wanted to take away from me, but couldn't, and mine, tho pretty dang good, all things considered, went up, across the board, and I lost choices on network, too. I would hazard to say if your testimony is true, which sorry, I find suspect, there would be no opposition to Obamacare. Yeah, yeah, I get the argument they only want to remove his legacy, etc..... But even that, I find very weak and more the mindset of how the left behaves and thinks..... You know, like a thief thinks everyone else, is out to steal his stuff :-* |
Title: Re: AHCA Post by T And T Garage on 05/08/17 at 12:07:32 Whether or not anyone believes me.... In the years leading up to ACA, my premiums went up consistently every single year. The average was near 8%. Again, every single year. (I have a company policy of which I pay a percentage.) The very first year of ACA, my premiums went up 2%!! Yes, just 2%! The years following have seen my premiums continue to go up - but at a rate of about 4% per year. I can live with that. Yes, the network has changed for some, but I still have my doctor and my wife has hers. Not to speak for everyone - but all my friends who have company policies have seen the same thing as I have.... not much change. I do have a couple of friends on Obamacare. For my younger friend it's not too good - he never had insurance before and he hates having to be covered. Another one of my friends has it and is paying about the same per month as her old premium with slightly higher coverage (more routine care is covered for her). IMHO the AHCA is doomed. No way it will get by the Senate. |
