Title: Clearances inside the clutch cover
Post by kojones on 05/01/17 at 09:36:19

I have some marks inside my Savages clutch cover, seems like the tensioner is hitting the cover and making noise, too.

Measured 11mm from the gasket surface to the marks. https://www.dropbox.com/s/z35l1jgbhddlgtk/2017-05-01%2017.57.08.jpg?dl=0

Similar experiences or anybody has a cover that could be measured?

Just asking this because my cover has been welded and I don't know if it's been modified more shallow, would really appreciate if someone who has a cover could measure the clearance between the gasket surface and the oil passages behind the filter.

If it's the cover causing the hitting, I'll buy a used one. If it's not, then I guess I have to bent the chain guide or something.
