Title: Tractor Oil Post by pg on 04/30/17 at 16:08:35 This week I stopped by the local Suzuki dealership to inquire about some new tires for the s40 and a recall issue for a v strom 650.  They have a stator recall for that year.  I asked him if I should bring the bike and oil?  He asked if I used the Suzuki recommended oil and I mentioned I used Rotella.  He looked at me kind of funny and said:  "ain't that tractor oil?"   :-? I said yeah but it is JASO certified, good for clutches, and has some zddp.  I am surprised by how many people don't realize what an outstanding product Rotella is.   Best regards,

Title: Re: Tractor Oil Post by SALB on 04/30/17 at 18:56:56 Hop over to the KLR650 forums, and they're using the Rotella for many of the same reasons. As for the dealer, with their profit on the Suzuki branded stuff, they're not going to recommend another oil even if it is better. >:(
