Title: Reflector above license plate
Post by JLC on 04/27/17 at 13:15:26

Anybody knows where I could buy the reflector which used to be fitted above the license plate and below the rear brake light, but has been deleted by Suzuki on new S40s?

I'd gladly give you one for the cost of postage.

I can shove it in a flat rate small box for $6

or a padded envelope for $3, but not much protection that way.

Or you could meet me on the I40 in 3 weeks.

Verslagen1 is sending me a reflector.  :)

I like the way the S40 looks, even the stock exhaust that many seem to dislike. Only two things I would have changed: first, that rear brake light which just does not look right... and Suzuki should have left the rear reflector in place. With the gap between the license plate and the brake light, plus the two mounting holes still there, it's obvious there is something missing! Penny pinching at its worst.

Noooooooooooo. Sorry but that is not possible. I can understand someone liking the quietness even if it does sound like a sewing machine, I can understand someone not minding the ridiculously heavy weight of it because they don't notice, I can even understand to a limited extend the ridiculous lower heat shield but I refuse to accept that anyone could actually prefer the fat ugly shape of the original exhaust unless they've never seen it side by side with say a dyna. Especially the newer dyna's that have their own built in low profile heat shield.

Each to their own I suppose [ch9786].

I changed to the Dyna mostly for the sound. With time, I've really come to appreciate how good it looks!

I can't stand the stock muffler now.

But one of the best things about having a bike is making it the way you want it [ch9786][ch9786]

Mine that I just recently got does not have the stock exhaust. I would prefer the stock especially with the sound difference. Hard of hearing with a loud exhaust isn't helpful. If I could get a stock exhaust cheap I'd put it on. I don't think it looks all that bad from pictures. I know for sure I've seen a hell of a lot worse than that. Case in point Look at the Vmax love the bike and then you hang that butt ugly thing they got on it.

Sanodusa, Dyan stock with the baffle in place is not much louder than stock when driving at a steady speed, and only a little louder when increasing speed. It really just has a lower tone the price is low as compared to a new stock muffler .

May have to check on it. There's a slash cut Jardine on there now. I know it's not that loud compared to others but I know it's louder than stock for sure.
