Is here any hope to adapt these? What do we do to replace bent front footpegs?

George,

If the pegs that you purchased are designed to fit a Sportster they easily adaptable to fit the Savage/S40.

If your stock pegs are just bent you could try to straighten them ,what have you got to lose,it's been done before.

I abused my left footpeg back into shape with a hammer. Pulled the rubber off ... There's not much in there really.

This guy makes custom foot pegs that are a direct Bolton for our S40's. I have used a couple different styles and have been satisfied with the quality.

Nice! Just what I am looking for. I have an offer on the marketplace for the stock pegs, if he doesn't like my off i will go for these.

Mine and bent and the rubber is toast.
