I'm not sure I'd bite on this muffler ,no info on material it's made from, type of baffle ,or how long it will last .the HD Dyan muffler IS very well built with great chrome, and a solid baffle and can often be found at 1/2 the price, and will last for years.

MMRanch has this muffler on his bike.....and it sounds fine and works well.  Hopefully MM will see this and post a photo of his bike - the muffler is longer than the DYNA.  I believe you will still need to have the angle adapter with this muffler, as it is straight just like the DYNA.

If you read through the reviews, you will see that one of the folks that posted took off his overly loud EMGO shorty and replaced it with this muffler, and was happy with the results.

The price looks good - you should buy it and do a review for the forum! ;)

That's the same muffler RYCA sells as the "Long Reverse Cone" muffler.

I have one on my cafe racer. Nice tone and nice and quiet. Louder then stock for sure, but not "wake-up the neighborhood" stupid.

This was the first muffler I used to replace the stocker. Combined with stock air box with K&N and rejeted carb.  Worked fine.... :)

Had them on a Moto Guzzi .  Nice sound and good looking. The chrome seems thin and weak, so a little more  polish attention will be needed.

Thanks guys.  I'm gonna try one out and let the forum know how it works out.  I will get it from RYCA instead of Amazon just because they have the right mounting kit.  I feel that this will do the trick.  The Jardine that is on the bike now has even more crackle since I cleaned and reoiled the air filter.  I couldn't find a new Dyna near this price, and anyway i like the look of the reverse cone.

The only downside to the long reverse cone is that I can't use a swingarm stand for maintenance. The muffler extends well behind the axle. Other than that, zero complaints.

Got the Emgo Megaphone Muffler installed.  Looks great.  Was a BEAR to install.  Had to get an adapter made at a local muffler shop.  1 3/4 OD one side, 1 3/4 ID on the other, 7 degree bend.  $15, same dimensions as the RYCO but no chrome.  Worked perfect, used a cutoff wheel to slice the OD to give the clamp room to work.  Lower note, NO backfiring on throttle-off, less popping, shutdown pop is now a nice polite pop instead of a bang.  Great all around so far.  Had to play with the mount a bit, to be careful with interference with the rear brake linkage.  You can see right through the Jardine i pulled off the bike.  I was going to sell the Jardine, but I think its not a good match for the Savage.  I probably will scrap it.

If anyone needs the adapter, let me know.  My muffler guy made it in 5 minutes, and can make as many as we need.  If there is a call for them, I can have him make 10 an I will dole them out as required.

George, as a whole sound wise compared to the Jardine how is the megaphone? Louder, quieter or the same.

The sound of the Emgo Megaphone (longer version) is somehwere between the Jardine and the stock.  Nice low note, loud enough to be noticed.  Not loud enough to frighten children, or make you paranoid that you are waking up the entire neighborhood when you fire it up in the morning.  It does look cool, too, something different.  I gotta go now, but I will post some pics soon!

Update after long ride:  This is a mild muffler.  Not the same pedigree as the Jardine.  This muff makes the bike quieter than every Harley on the street.  Jardine makes you louder then most.  I have noticed a bit of HP reduction, but no prob.  I'm old, and have had FAST bikes before.  Our bike is not FAST.  That's cool too.

AA Fuelers just Almost fall between Jardine and stock.
