Title: Found a cute tracker Post by philthymike on 04/12/17 at 06:21:04 While running errands on my way home from work I happened upon a really cute Savage tracker. Ain't it purdy? No sign of the owner around though so no info to pass on. |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Dave on 04/12/17 at 06:25:18 Wow! That pipe is really blue! |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Ruttly on 04/12/17 at 06:55:35 That's a Ryca standard/scrambler not the tracker , still a cool bike ! |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Gary_in_NJ on 04/12/17 at 07:00:07 Trackers and Scramblers are very similar, but there are a few defining features. The dead give away: Tracker = exhaust sweeps up from below the engine Scrambler = Exhaust cuts across the mid-line of the bike. Agreed, that's the RYCA kit. |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by ohiomoto on 04/12/17 at 07:14:32 And the tracker usually has a tracker seat. :) |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by springman on 04/12/17 at 09:20:36 Very nice. |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by philthymike on 04/12/17 at 09:35:45 It was nice to see one of these Ryca jobs in person. When I 1st looked at it form the distance I didn't realize it was a Savage. Then the front pulley cover came into focus when i got closer and I knew what I was looking at. |

Ding ding ding ding we have a winner ! Yes it's the seat and exhaust can be high , mid or low ! |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Ruttly on 04/12/17 at 10:17:09 I have never seen another Ryca in person. Thought I saw a cafe on the freeway one day but I was in a cage and couldn't catch him to confirm it. I don't think I have seen maybe seven Savages beside dealerships period. That six amigos pic was the most I've ever seen in one place. |

Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Ruttly on 04/12/17 at 15:20:13 Looks like AARP on wheels , middle aged men in their prime , that could be a Geritol commercial , aka: old farts ! ;D ;D ;D I would blend right in , yup fit right in !!! ;D ;D ;D |

The more I see Ryca's scrambler, the more I think they could have done a much better job with the seat. |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Dave on 04/14/17 at 09:13:11 It seems to be a current fad....flat as a board seats with little or no personality or padding. A bit like the worthless LED headlight fad....they bolt on a couple of LED work lights that shine no more than 15 feet in front of the bike. I like seats with a few curves and padding. |

You sure you're only talking about seats here? |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Dave on 04/14/17 at 10:09:21 Well I do admit I did try to find an image on Google that showed a curvy seat/girl photo to post with that statement. A lot of photos showed up that I just can't post....I kept looking....and I looked a lot - nope....not proper to post that stuff! |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Kris01 on 04/14/17 at 12:38:43 How many times did you look, Dave? ;D |

Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by stewmills on 04/14/17 at 13:41:06 Maybe it would look better with this seat? |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Ruttly on 04/14/17 at 13:45:41 That long flat seat no matter how well it's done looks like it was stapled together on plywood in their garage aka: Brat Style ,not a tracker seat ! I much prefer the flat tracker styled seats gives the bike some eye candy , body lines like the H/D XR750 or the fiberglass bodywork on the old Champion framed flat tracker. Gives them a racing look ! |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Ruttly on 04/14/17 at 14:08:50 Stewy , You would have a place for your wallet ! |

Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by ohiomoto on 04/15/17 at 06:11:28 Ryca sells a few seats that would look better IMO. For example: http://shop.rycamotors.com/classic_seat_yamaha_sr400_sr500.html or http://shop.rycamotors.com/cafe_racer_seat_red_stitching_yamaha_sr400_sr500.html Just saying. |
Title: Re: Found a cute tracker Post by Ruttly on 04/15/17 at 07:45:01 Yeah , Keep those hemorrhoids comfortable. ;D |
