Title: Awesome Jobs Report!  But....
Post by T And T Garage on 04/05/17 at 12:37:40

Preliminary ADP numbers are awesome!

But... When you look at what tweety's done (or hasn't done) to promote jobs, it makes you wonder if he has anything to do with it....(I'd say very little - if anything)

I have no idea, nor you, or those who forecast, predict, report economic results.
Way to many variables, and hindsight lacks the emotions and temper of the moment.
You can use it as a tool, nothing more, like the weather.

The script was stocks would crash with a Trump administration, that missed by miles.
Do I trust this market rise, no, even tho I have made more daily in my investments, than I do my labor.

All of this is nothing more than a high stake game.....
Policies can help, less constraint, more opportunity, but that also can result in unscrupulous activity as well, and it does.
I think thus far it has been good only because of speculation.
The supporting elements will need to be realized by policy changes, implementation, regulations, for it to last....

However, with the get even mentality in DC, I do not put it pass them to put their agenda before common folks welfare.

I have most of my holdings in real estate and bonds, and both wife and I will retire soon, tho we will still have income from multiple sources.
I consider myself lucky, and way above the norm for a working stiff grunt, who has had some hard knocks......
But I learned early debt is no good, and hard work satisfies ones own affirmation without having to play games.

So, no, I do not give Trump credit, just yet, and argue all you want, Obama inherented a cluster fluck, it was ugly.
It was slow to recover, and his stubborn aloftness dragged on, but, I give him credit for turning the corner on some very bad economic times.

Did I answer your question  ;D

Well, there wasn't really a question per se.  But thanks for the input.

To each their own.

If you can't see Obama was anything but pro-business then the current rise should be met with a dusty cough.

Feel free to elaborate.  Excluding the bail outs of the automakers all he really did was give free money to the banks in the form of QE.  He fed the military industrial complex for eight years though.

Best regards,

There is a major disconnect between, for Obama did keep feeding the military industrial complex as well as big agriculture.  In this way, and the Fed support of banks etc, he was pro business.  What people are unwilling to think about, can you be pro worker as well as pro business?

Many Republicans feel no, cause it reduces they think the capital gains from their investments (which are of course taxed way less than earned income).  Some of us think  yes, and that the better you treat your workers, the better the product they produce for you, the harder they work, and the fewer days off or on but not really busting for you.

Health insurance, some vacation time, sharing of the capital can be great motivators for hard work.  This is what some believe, Obie was one of them. ;)

Mary Poppins used a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down.....
As with sarcasm, the recipient often doesn't know they opened their closed mind to consideration, when it is utilized to relax a persons guard of stubbornness....
I believe Versy offered his retort/reply in such a way.

Re: Obama, if one was to consider his first campaign it was much akin to Trumps, an outsider, to the D.C. Swamp, and he pulled much of the same vote Trump did.
However, his party extreme flank has always in recent administrations, exerted pressure on them, once in office.
The extreme left can only win in certain districts, and not on a national scale, it's why they back off their candidate until he/she wins.
Obama was not a socialist, nor was Clinton....
No president wants to harm the economy, that goes against all reasoning.

Your moral compass, understanding of right and wrong, you believe that. And being more agenda driven to accomplish Other things instead of focus on business, or, being a dumbass and Unable to negotiate and help businesses, it's not just intention, it's understanding. Obama sukkt. Trump will too. Just in different places.

The lower class doesn't see it that way... they work a year then take 6 months vacation... rinse repeat.
