Title: UPDATE: Headlight gremlin fixed.....

Here is the OP........
http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1489538211

And Versy and Dave were once again the resident wizards!
I hope MJ appreciates just how much you two make this site trump all the other savage forums, and yes, you can tweet that  ;D

The fix:
I stopped by the local NAPA and got a new lamp, it was 6 bucks.
I came home and put it in, BAM, she lit when I turned the key.
Now, I hit the starter....
Off she goes, motor catches, release starter, and light comes back on, cool  :)
I then pull that lamp, put back in old one.
Turn key, she lights.
Hit starter button, light goes out, motor grabs, I let go.....
WTH, no light  :o
OK, I move to starter switch, fool with it like a newb, twist it, smack it a few times like I am trying to knock some sense into JOG (that never works, but hey, nothing to lose trying)  :-*
Pull the wires coming out from the switch, try again, and that does the trick.
Tested a few more times, all good. I'll pull it apart later, when I change out my winter windscreen to my summer fly, as it is blocking my access to the screws.
Clean it all up and seal it up good as my bike takes a soaking up here sitting in the parking lot at work.

Thanks guys, you make this site rock!!!!

I rarely offer advice I haven't used successfully. Yes, several quick button pushes can clear contacts.

Seems to simple, but if you know what to yank....or which button, to push...
The results can be amazing  ;D

I fixed copiers, cash registers and calculators for seven years. I fixed printers and the motors. A seal on the developer unit on a copier was leaking. Impossible to buy one. I built one from a piece of foam from a dish mop from the kitchenette in the break room.
I'll Try something, if not necessarily to fix the problem, but to see if it changes. I see improvement, I'll try again. Spraying contact cleaner and banging the contact together a few quick, firm shots can change things. Knowing how much Ooomph to put on it is something ya learn.
