Title: Cool Harley!
Post by Dave on 01/30/17 at 13:17:40

At the bike show I attended in Cincinnati last weekend - this bike was my favorite.

It is a 1960 Harley XLCH.  It is obvious by looking at it that it was intended to be a "Scrambler", as it has the original high pipe, the original issue "trials" tires, and it was "light and lean" by the standards of the day.

A 1960 XLCH was the first Harley that I owned. Mine was blue & white and did not have the high pipes. Magneto ignition, a regular DC generator, and no battery.

It cost me $1340.00 out the door....

It was in my family for many years and as far as I know it is still on the road and owned by a police officer in York, Pennsylvania....
