I'm putting lights and plug-ins on my car port , but ran out of box/conduit connectors this morning . So , I jumped on the bike and headed to town (15 miles) and found my buddy with the old goldwing out for a ride too. We did about 150 miles of local back-roads before the afternoon was over.
The temperature was near 65 , and a little overcast ... really nice ! :P

Two weeks ago I had the wood-stove running hot for near two weeks solid ! :-?

We're due for another week of rain and mud.
They claimed northern cal is out of the drought.
Haven't found a summary of all the reservoir levels yet.

I rode for about an hour today and it felt like January. The temp was in the 40's and it felt cold.....

I rode the Ninja Friday to work (S40 was in the garage taken apart) and Sunday afternoon for about 100+ miles with a friend who was riding his SV650, and a short trip Monday on the S40 to test out some bike maintenance and mods made over the weekend.

Even though it was warm out, I still saw deer crossing the road out ahead of me so don't let this warm weather let you forget that the "winter" animal hazards are still out there!

Although it is warm in KY and we got up as high as 60 the last few days - it has brought with it a nearly constant supply of rain. For the few hours that it didn't rain yesterday and the sun was out - the saturated ground has been flowing water across the roadways in sheets.

Riding weather has not yet come to northern KY. :(

The weather man reported last evening that the typical weather pattern for North Texas will yield 70 degree days by early March. Hurray! I new there was a reason that I moved here..

I meant to pack my Thumpy away for the remainder of the winter but as it happens I rode in to work again today. It's in the 60s!

Speaking of hazards some dumb animal cager literally tried taking me out a few days ago. There's a twisty little shortcut road I like to take and the other night I was going up it and there was a cager about 1000 ft. ahead of me. At one point the road takes a tight curve to the right and there's a retaining wall along the right side so you can't see over the turn. I come around this turn this dumb animal is stopped in the middle of the road just before it straightens out again. Luckily I wasn't riding fast so there was no danger of me hitting her. But when I went to go around her she aimed her car into me and gunned it.

I think she was deliberately trying to take me out. she knew I wouldn't see her coming around that turn until the very last second and stopped there waiting for me to plow into her truck. Then when that didn't happen she tried cutting me off as I passed her in the oncoming lane.

I flipped her off >:(

For the first time in years, we were blessed with a white Christmas. And we've had snow, interrupted with occasional freezing rain, ever since. >:(

I forgot the thread title. I put a story about an avalanche in Italy Somewhere.. Maybe that area doesn't usually get much snow and nobody was watching out and knocking snow down before it got dangerous.

Was in the 50's here in Colorado, so put 40 miles on. The electric vest I got for Christmas helps a lot, & it uses a lithium-ion battery pack, so doesn't stress the bike's charging system.

I wanted to ride on Sat or Sunday.....it was over 60 degrees and sunny both days here in northern Kentucky. Unfortunately I just had too much work that needed to be done outdoors while the weather allowed me to do it while wearing a T-shirt.
