Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by Dave on 01/16/17 at 13:17:53 Are you talking about a flyscreen? http://www.jpcycles.com/product/750-493?utm_term=DSA%2520-%2520general&siteid=NB_G_DSA&adpos=1t1&creative=82456140610&device=c&matchtype=b&network=g&gclid=CNqsrq3Lx9ECFdgegQodFzQEcg |
Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by Ruttly on 01/16/17 at 14:10:12 Like a fly screen but it went around headlight too. Like a mini cafe fairing . Couldn't find it on eBay. I've seen them on two Savages , almost looks like they were made specifically for a Savage |

Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by Ruttly on 01/16/17 at 14:33:41 Not quite Versy it completely hid body of headlight , but wasn't a so to speak bikini or 1/4 fairing. To help break up the air at freeway speed and high enough to hide bar mounted tach & speedo |
Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by engineer on 01/16/17 at 18:18:06 Use google and type in "motorcycle headlight fairing" and you'll get a few. Below is one example. If you find a good one that will fit the Savage please post it, I'm also interested in one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAFE-RACER-MOTORCYCLE-MINI-FAIRING-Windshield-7-Headlight-Universal-Black-/112201326609 |
Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by buster6315 on 01/16/17 at 18:21:08 I am interested in obtaining a medium sized wind shield for my 1988 Savage. Something that can be positioned so that the top edge is just beneath my field of vision. Thank you! |
Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by Ruttly on 01/16/17 at 20:18:57 Thanks guys , see alot that fit the small Harley headlight 5 3/4" but need one that fits our stock headlight 7", I'm not givin up yet ! Some of those clear fly screens might look ok , but it would be cool to hide speedo tach behind it and have a spot to stuff my gloves & speeding tickets & stuff like that, |
Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by Steve H on 01/17/17 at 04:19:41 I thought our stock headlight was 5 3/4 :-/ |
Title: Re: Wind deflectors Post by Ruttly on 01/17/17 at 05:45:20 Ours is about 7" , my sportster a tad over 6" it has a 5 3/4" , I hate sending stuff back ! |

I suppose it makes a difference if you are referring to the size of the lens (5-3/4")....or the outside diameter of the housing (around 7"). Some of the fairings are made for the headlight to be hidden behind the fairing - with only enough room for glass lense to be visible - while others allow the entire housing to poke through. |

The OEM windshield works well. "just beneath my field of vision" depends on how tall you are. It might be a bit shorter than what you want. Suzuki PN 990A0-70007. |
