Title: Fuel tank wont drain!!!
Post by Supersavge127 on 01/03/17 at 12:09:53

I am trying to drain the fuel out of the tank. i took the rubber hose off the carb from the petcock and turned it to "PRIME" nothing come out, i even blew through it and it bubbled out but still nothing would come out. what is another solution?

when choke is all the in the bike will sputter when in first gear and has like a total loss of power. But idles fine. But when choke is half way out it runs fine but idles boggy. What could be the problem?

Are you sure you aren't on RES?  IIRC, prime is having the long end with the tiny triangle arrow pointing towards the rear of the bike.

I had an old 3 wheeler that I swear was designed the other way and it took me a while to get used to which way was which...

Are there 2 hoses on your petcock?  Which one did you remove?  Hopefully the one without the metal spring on it.  If you removed the vacuum line...the tank will not drain...you need to be sure you removed the fuel hose.

Your running problem sounds like your pilot jet could be clogged.

I think you are ready for a "Raptor" petcock and a carb cleaning.

The hose to the carburetor,,
Then Prime.
That bike old enough. It's Raptor petcock time.
