Title: What are these spacers for???
Post by Terrible Ted on 12/08/16 at 19:07:50

So I tore my bike apart to change the head gasket. I am a mechanic of intermediate skills and this job may not have been over my head, but it's taking a LOT longer than I had hoped. Anyway...I'm reassembling and I have 3 aluminum tube spacers that I am not sure where I took them from. (No wisecracks) I bagged and marked everything that wasn't completely obvious but I missed marking this bag. My best guess is they go together with the belt pulley cover but my Clymer manual (aka doorstop) shows nothing.
I'm just not sure which spacer goes to which bolt.
I'm attempting to attach a pic, this is my first time posting, we'll see what happens...
Thanks!

Yeah it didn't like my pic. They're approx 1/4" diameter and about 2" long.

#26,27,28 on the diagram. If I remember correctly the spacers are each a different length but the bolts are all the same. Stick the bolts and the rubber cushions through the cover, and then switch the spacers around till the cover goes on straight. I mixed them up first time I had that cover off and it took a little bit of screwin' around till I got it sorted out.

Ted,

There are 2 different rubber washers & 1 metal washer for each bolt.
You can probably  figure out the order that they go in from the Bike Bandit drawering.
