Wow! So sad it was thrown away. I hope he gets found and is ok!

Most WW2  servicemen and women have left the planet, sadly many of their descendants don't know or care. Many years ago my father lost a memento that was very precious to him. Some kindly soul had him tracked down and the memento returned within a few hours.
