Title: Free expression......
Post by raydawg on 10/27/16 at 03:27:03

I have tried to come to a decisions re: kneeling during our national anthem.
I think the country should take it when Hillary wins  ;D

Ok, serous now.

I believe this falls under freedom of speech/expression.
Let those express themselves, and accept, if any, repercussions for those actions, as that is the flip side, of the offended, expressing themselves.

I also believe any religious expression should also be allowed, as well then.
It falls under the same umbrella of protection, as it is NOT an endorsement of....

The moment you say one can't, and the other can, you have removed freedom of expression, period.

Argue all you want, you are agenda driven, plain and simple, own it.
You are for what you believe in, and deny it to others....

There is a name for that, but presently it escapes me  ::)

Self defeating ...
The more people that do it, the less meaningful it is...
...until, taking a knee means nothing...

Saw little black girl take a knee while she sang the anthem the other day...
That just seems contradictory....  :-/

I hear you guys, but again, just cuz I don't agree with message, content, or technique/delivery......
Doesn't mean others don't find some sort of meaning and value in it.

I love movies, my wife and I use to spend a fair amount of money going to see them on our nights out.
Of course we would then watch the oscars, to see how our choices faired.
When they started spouted political or social issues when all we wanted was entertainment, we quit watching.
Then we quit going to the movies.
We now watch after they have been released to home viewing
I understand Broadway is going through some tough times too.
They have used it for social promotion, and iris no way as lucrative or producing shows that have staying power.....

This is how it should work, I believe, and government should stay out of it....

Agree,  Freedom of  Expression.
But let it be,  ‘FREEDOM’, of   Expression !

Tell me, why one person, after he scored in a game, took a knee, and made the sign of the cross, was,  LAMBASTED.
Yet another person, took a knee, during a expression of, ‘belief in the Country he is in”, is  APPROVED.
    By the  SAME   PEOPLE  ????

Or a  Olympic  Medal  WINNER, who had   Medaled in SIX,  Concessive Olympics.  (Entering that ONE EVENT EACH  Time)
Is Not even  MENTIONED.
Yet a Olympic Person, (who is a  male, but  Dresses like a  GIRL),  is called a, ‘hero’.
    By the SAME  People    ?????

How about a person, flying a ‘certain’ flag,  is, ‘run up the flagpole’, as  BAD.
Yet someone saying:  “That  Flag is Bad”,  is considered, ‘righteous’.
    By the SAME  People    ????

Or, a people, saying ’this Sport is  BAD’.
And, ’This Sport is good”.
     By the SAME   People   ?????

And On and On and On.

You're free to express yourself anyway you choose.
But that doesn't mean I got to like it.

That's right, but it seems a lot of folks only see that one way....

Freedom of expression. Yes.   BUT, it shows a lack of respect for the Black men who fought and died for that very freedom since the Revolution.

Yes there are times when their protest should of been curtailed.
The 9/11 anniversary was one, and when servicemen have been specifically invited to honor.
To do that in front of them is a direct affront that shouldn't be allowed.
