hi guys, I removed the lump to put new exhaust bolts in the head,
its only done 12k miles, but is there anything y`all would do while its on the bench?

Check cam chain tensioner. If you don't have a verslavy yet, get one.

In addition to the chain tensioner, I'd consider porting and polishing the exhaust side of the head. Install a high compression piston (kit) and maybe a stage 3 cam.

IT's done 12,000 miles.
How many of those miles were you riding it?
What happened to the exhaust bolts?

If your not rich you really only need the vercy tensioner ,the new head plug ,porting the exhaust,and a Harley muffler,then carb tuning .

I only had the bike a week tried to tighten a loose exhaust and broke both studs. I am looking to do all the tweaks I can while the motor is out, emailed verslagen for his goodies, if a new cam and piston will give a decent boost I will do that too. not sure yet where to get them I live in Yorkshire, uk

Lancer ships international for the cam and piston. He also carries a cam chain you might want to replace yours with while you have it apart...
