Title: Stuck in Memphis...
Post by WD on 10/06/16 at 21:01:39

Got off work at 2200 hours. Turned key on... pop. Full electrical shutdown, both fuses intact.

Sitting here waiting on the wife, the truck and the trailer. 2300 and change right now.

Sam has signed his own death warrant. To the rifle range he goes.

Loose connection .   :-/    Probably at the negative battery post.

My Harley did something similar at the CMA State Rally this year ... turned out to be a relay ... I now have two extras in the lower side saddle bag .  ;)

What kinda bike is Sam again ?

Good luck with it

Makes me feel --- So Blessed ---  ,  with my 2005 LS  .

Heck !  Just go buy a new one with a guarantee and be done with those old used bikes !!  ;)

O-yea , don't modify the new one in any way ... just ride it .  (who can do that ? )  ::)

A song fitting for your unfortunate situation:

Changed battery. Got a grand total of maybe 1/4 mile and something let go. Surging, popping, stumbling like a V8 with a couple plug wires crossed or a distributor that skipped several teeth.

44k and change on the bike. Timing chain was on the 2nd hole at around 19k miles... Roll pin was missing within 10 miles of install... Not even going to bother opening the case up.

Junking out.
