If someone comes and engages on this board, that they would be pretty secure about who they are, and why?

Example: Would a prize fighter be threatened by some punk kid spouting off he is going to knock the crap outta him.....?

I would think not.

That the prize fighter would be secure, in his abilities and what he can do.
Knowing that, simple challenges would not bring him to punching this punk kid out, on just lame threats...... would you agree?

With that scenario fresh in your mind, then why would a member here send PM's of vulgarity to those in opposition views and beliefs?

Insecurity?

Hatred?

Ignorance?

If my beliefs are real, genuine, and not propped up by having to drive others down, that on their own, they provide me with peace, serenity, assuredly, shouldn't that be as good as it gets?

As I age, one thing I have found out, is that if I stay in place, where I am now, stationary of mind and body, decay, or rotting, of body and mind, start to encroach me.
Injuries take longer to heal.
Lessons harder to grasp.
Ice cream faster to wrap around my waist ;D

Example: I told last weekend I had to stack 3 cords of wood.
I don't really like too, arg.
My back will need a few dips in the hot tub, afterwards.
The guy I bought the wood from said 50 more bucks to stack it.
I thanked him, and said I need the exercise, which is true.
I park as far away as I can at work, so I have to walk to get to my work location.
In other words, I have to keep going on, in order to not waste away, or rot.
I read things counter to my views.
I assemble the stupid furniture, etc, my wife buys @ Ikea, where directions are written by drunk chipmunks, so I can keep my mind from entering frustrations instead of resolutions.... etc.
I guess I could write Ikea a nasty, vulgar email, yes?
But, how would that serve me?

It wouldn't, would it.......

Anyway, just a thought on this great Thursday morning wee hours before I embrace the new day.....

You've just encountered
The Scan Zone
where Ray starts typing away, and in His head, it's all sequential , connected thought processes, each being well defined and leading logically into the next. The thing is, I think he might just be Thinking faster than he can type and tries to take Us where he is, not realizing that his mind has just assumed we all changed buses and hopped on the next one with him. I enjoy reading these things, I GET some of it. In this one, the man is obviously enjoying his victory, selling and stacking so much wood and even though he's sore from it, he's happy about it.
That's cool.. I am happy for anyone still able to do so much, certainly at the Over Fifty mark.
Beyond that, it gets a bit heady.. philosophical, leaning to Faith..

No telling how smart the guy is. I've been around a few people who are kinda hard to talk to and stay with them.. Seems like the math whiz types kinda land in there more than most.

I like taking the Free IQ tests. They're kinda fun, trying to figure out
Which is the next number or picture
In a series, stuff like that.

I recommend them, they're fun and I nearly always get a 138.
Once I got a 141, and once it was disappointingly low, like a 127 or something like that..
Sometimes those tests will let you get to the end and won't give the score unless you sign up for something,, I don't have a link to a known good one, I just go play until I find one that delivers..

I got a nasty cussing pm from another member here. I was questioning why a person would hang here if it causes them to get angry enough to write ugly stuff to people who disagree with them. I ask, is that tolerance?

Maybe they need anger help?
Or self esteem, help?
