Title: highway foot pegs Post by petervt on 10/02/16 at 06:09:03 Can anyone recommend a foot rest that will clamp to the bike frame and fit around the muffler I have 2006 s40 petervt |
Title: Re: highway foot pegs Post by Bobber on 10/02/16 at 18:12:28 I tried the factory engine guard option but it didn't work out too well. I ended up making a custom bar. The factory guard was too close and the pegs up to high. |
Title: Re: highway foot pegs Post by Job on 10/02/16 at 20:11:38 Peter, I found a set of highway pegs that fit the S40 perfectly. They are made by Rivco and run about $170. I have had mine 6 months and I love them. You can get them from J&P, and most of the other large Motorcycle parts places. For the S40 you must have the units for a 1 1\8" frame tube. See picture. Good luck. Jeff |

Title: Re: highway foot pegs Post by justin_o_guy2 on 10/04/16 at 06:49:17 What did you do to keep airflow to the rectifier? |
Title: Re: highway foot pegs Post by Job on 10/04/16 at 19:57:38 Kenny, I made it from 1/8" thick rubber gasket material and a Sturgis pin I had. JOG The bag crossover fits just behind the regulator and doesn't seem to block the airflow. . |
Title: Re: highway foot pegs Post by Tuck on 10/29/16 at 12:56:12 Looking for help with engine guards for my 2011 Suzuki. I bought a set on Ebay assured they would fit my bike. They did but are too narrow to take the hit should the bike fall (!) I corresponded with the Suzuki plant in Ontario and no one could or would give me the measurements of Suzuki engine guards part # 990A0-73001. Does any one know how wide these guards are? Alternatively, if you have custom welded an extension onto existing bars what does your solution look like? Is extension of a too narrow guard another reason for foot pegs? Thanks, all. |
