Title: His Majesty Post by pg on 09/30/16 at 16:20:52 http://dailycaller.com/2016/09/30/conservative-student-is-now-his-majesty-after-university-of-michigan-lets-everyone-make-up-their-own-pronouns/ The University of Michigan is committed to fostering an environment of inclusiveness,” the email from the two campus bigwigs explains. “Consistent with that value, the University has created a process for students to designate pronouns with the University and have those pronouns reflected on class rosters this fall.” “A designated pronoun is a pronoun an individual chooses to identify with and expects others to use when referencing them (i.e., he, she, him, his, ze, etc.).” “Once professors print their rosters, they have the preferred pronouns of every student and are expected to use them,” Strobl said. “It could mean that professors could be disciplined for using pronouns incorrectly.” The student, Grant Strobl, has declared that he shall henceforth be referred to as “His Majesty, Grant Strobl.” Best regards, |

I seem to remember a time in the not so distant past, when universities were "committed" to teaching people sh*t that might eventually prove useful to those people in their future endeavors. Just a quaint, old fashioned notion nowadays I guess. |

Best regards,[/quote] I believe it started in earnest when the campus activists of the '60s became the faculty of the of the 70s ,and the tenured faculty of the 80s and 90s. Those folks are the administrators of today. That's an oversimplification of course. And just my own observation. The deliberate, progressive ideological driven trends in public education over the past century are a contributing factor also, but not exactly the same as this "inclusiveness" bullsh*t. |
