Title: US Map - states visited
Post by Dave on 09/19/16 at 09:33:43

It isn't an astounding number of states for me - but a lot of you folks have ridden through a large number of states and might want a way to keep track - I know that MMRanch is trying to check off all the states he has ridden through.

I noticed on the NT forum, a lot of members have a map posted that shows the states they have traveled to.  I found the source of the map here:

http://www.visitedstatesmap.com/view-map.php

I have tried to get the URL in my "signature" so that the map shows up every time I post - but I have not been able to make it work.  So...I have inserted the URL as an image - somebody smart needs to help me figure out how to put a URL in the signature so that the maps shows up with each post.

I have cheated a bit...sort of.  In Florida we rented a Harley and rode for a day.  We hauled the bike to Michigan an unloaded it for day rides around Traverse City.....we did not go to the U.P. even though the map shows we did.  In New York - I bought my Savage there and I took the car and trailer to pick it up - but I did start the bike and ride it up/down the block once before I loaded it up to take it home to KY!

The map I made is MC exclusive.

mmm... not by m/c exclusive.  and I'm sure I've left out a few.

These are the states that I've ridden in. I'd love to make a trip to the northeast but I don't think that will happen until I get something other than the café racer.

This is for everything.  If you want MC only...well that's just AL, GA, TN, NC.  Boo!

At least you're in a state that has some twisty roads so you have less of a reason to leave.

I've lived in Illinois and Wisconsin so I pretty much HAD to leave those states to find good places to ride.

I live in a pretty rural part of western Tn. There's plenty of nice roads around here where, if I see 2 cars, it's considered rush hour.  ;)

I think I need to go to the Black Hill's and beyond ,  Anybody have a yard to camp in for a feller or two ?

Maybe go the last of July before the  SD. Rally begins -- with a bunch of Savages ?   I understand camping is no problem in the area .

Meeting - up along the way might be tricky ?

Colorado didn't interest you?

Well , I was stationed in Elpaso , Tx and only allowed to go on day rides at the time .

BSTON ,

maybe we could meet at Dave's (Northern KY) and do the North-East some time ?

I'm out for road trips any time in the near future unfortunately. I have 3-1/2 year old twins and any free summer weekend is spent racing cars instead of taking trips on a bike. The Ryca would probably kill me anyway for a long trip...if I even made it far enough without running out of gas on accident.

That over 600 miles, you may have gotten to denver, but you didn't ride around there.
