Title: The Woodwrights Shop
Post by justin_o_guy2 on 09/08/16 at 18:12:50

9:00 PM, Central time.

Forging, welding, hardening tool steel.
All primitive tools. Nothing plugs in.
Very talented guy who has done a lot of research into early tools and techniques.
I'll bet he would So Dig a Savage.
I met a guy today who said he had 97,000 miles on his when he sold it.
I saw tons of wrecks today.
A curve near home. Two road hogs arguing over the middle three feet at the apex.
A car in a building, pickup truck in the parking area.
Pickup and black car, dust was still settling as I turned out onto the road, I did a U Turn,
Headed north out of Tyler, two tangled, I pulled out of line and sat with a dude at his tire shop and watched traffic till they cleared the road.

OHH, a d u de changed lanes, I Was there,, but I hit brakes and scooted over,,
AAAAND, I was passing an 18 wheeler on a two lane, traffic and the Yellow stripe was coming up, and
BRRRRRR, Runndoutta Gas...
Pulled onto the oncoming lanes shoulder.

I knew I was getting close,
In the future I will switch to Reserve if I'm getting into a spot where losing power would be bad.
I did that with the other one.

I used to watch Roy Underhill and the Woodrights shop regularly.  I was amazed how easy he could make nice things without ever plugging anything in.
(I wonder what he and Norm Abrams would talk about if they met.....they seem to have little in common). :-?

The guy can knick out some good looking, tight fitting dovetails.
What something as primitive as a plane can produce leaves me wowed.
