Title: Magneto / Regulator Rectifier Wire Question
Post by Jeremy on 09/04/16 at 13:09:35

Finally starting to wire my stripped down savage. I tried keeping as many factory connectors as I could, but space is tight and I need to cut off the factory connectors from the R/R.

My question is about the 3 yellow wires coming from the magneto to the RR. Do they need to be in any sort of specific order? Using the factory connectors ensures that each yellow wire from the magneto goes to a specific RR wire.

If I cut the connector off and just use bullet connectors for those wires, I'm not sure if I need to keep them straight or if any yellow can go to any yellow.

Label each wire.
You Can trip the keeper in the connector and pull one at a time from each.

I'm not sure , I would cut each pair off one at a time to install your connectors , then when all 3 pairs are done , I would mark each pair with colored zip ties red blue green etc so if you have to disconnect them you know which one goes where.
