Title: The old gal.....
Post by raydawg on 08/28/16 at 20:44:59

Getting my 1959 Seafair Glasspar all put together.
Put a new aluminum fuel tank in her this weekend, with new fuel lines, and ran a gauge, installed, w/ lighting, as well as a speedo, and new motor data gauge.
I am so tired of looking at wire, but I only blew one fuse!
I have the motor running so well, it takes just the slightest twist on the key to get it to fire up.
My compression on all holes is between 118 and 120 lbs.

Thank you too  :)

I'll have to wait until I retire to really have the time to do some of the bigger jobs on her.

I was going to buy a newer Bayliner Trophy, a hardtop, 23 footer, a really nice boat. Had the ok from the chief finance officer.
Called the guy up.
Bickered before I even saw it in person.
Got in down a few grand, figgered I could wrangle a few more in person....
But (a well placed but) I bailed....
I just can't part with her.
I have another boat, and a kayak too, my wife would loose her cool, not to mention parking, if I brought another one home without getting rid of one....
I am so glad I did, keep her.
She is my own, at this point, not rubber stamped.

Thanks for keeping her afloat and useful :)

Seems like all things now-a-days are made cheap and last only about 10 years. Its good to see something my age still in use, makes me feel that I might keep on trucking and looking good too :)
