You just need to be filthy rich and bave specific friends, because the paperwork is as expensive as an entry level motorcycle for example, after it's done you must request a permit to purchase the gun (in such caliber or any of those considered restricted), it will be analysed and the officer may have woken with a foul mood and stamp NO... then you have to wait and try again. Among other stuff. I believe it's easier to deal with BATF so you can figure how things go here. A piece of brass in the pocket have put a bunch of guys behind the bars here... yes, just the brass, no load no gun. That's the law. ... Things are so stupid here, if I had say a 357 (with Army permit) and shot it in self defense, I'd lose said license and would be sued.. So I'd need a 38/380 for self defense and a 357/45/500/308 to hunt (boars only) and to show my friends at the gun club… The older better guys are already dead or gave up the profession after the 2003 and hunted them like witches…" IS This is what YOU WANT !!!!!!! I am to some degree crippled. Now don't go on the "Cheapy's making another sad story" trip. ::) Basically, it means that if I try to run from an attacker, there is a very high likelyhood that my knee will fail, and I will be momentarily crippled, giving an attacker an easy opportunity to beat the sh!t out of me. If I can't run, then what else? Fists? I'm not a fighter and I'm out of shape. Alot of you here are old men and you know what kind of situation I'm talking about. What do we do now? Carry weapons? What weapons!?!? If most effective weapons are banned, you are basically given the option of A. Carry them anyway and risk punishment B. Go on living without them, hoping that nothing will happen to you. Now option B is rather realistic since many people don't carry weapons anyway. But that's their choice, not the government's. Basically, these people have little or no right to defend themselves, do they? Government officials would look at me even worse because I'm young, but in these sort of situations, not even the elderly can defend themselves. If you made an exception for them, you'd have to then worry about the young people who can't fight. What are you going to give them? How are you going to make all those decisions? Who can and can't have a weapon? Even in our country, a lot of people convicted of even relatively minor crimes can sometimes have difficulty acquiring or owning weapons. So these people shouldn't have the right to defend themselves? So they broke the law, and they are now allowed to be beaten to death? How dangerous does someone really need to be before you should be taking away his weapons? I can understand how some people probably shouldn't carry a gun, but if you apply that universally, who are we to make those judgments? Before you know it, you'll be having your weapons seized for even the silliest comments taken wrongly because someone will get nervous. People worry so much about guns. If we can't have those, why not give us steel knuckles and other "illegal" weapons? Give us something for defense. So, Serowbot... Can you solve this problem? Do liberals assume that people can always run away? Do they assume there's a cop at every corner? Do they assume everyone can fight? Do they assume that you can always say "sorry" and make the attacker not want to hurt you? Tell me what the social liberal solution to this is... 'cause, seems to me that taking away weapons largely makes people defenseless against their will. |

(examples).... but, because of that, we have to look back at what they originally meant because we might take their words wrongly if we look at it from a modern perspective. Lets say there was a passage in the Preamble which said "to promote the gaiety of the people" or worse... "gayness" (can't say they'd use that word back then). Who, in their right mind would be stupid enough to use that to directly promote gay rights? THEN, the seller, had to call the FBI, and give them ALL the information on that 4473. and then wait, and then in 30 sec to 5 min, get back one of three answers. ‘Proceed’, ‘Delay’, ‘Denied’. Proceed/Denied need no explanation. “Delay”, was, ’They will call you back’. If after 3, working days, you heard nothing, you noted the date and time on the 4473, and proceeded with the sale.) Back to the end of Clinton’s, ‘reign’. 99%, were up to, ‘Delay’. So when I went fishing to a lake about 4 hours North of here. And in that town, their was a gun shop. I would always stop and look. If their was something I wanted to see closer, I asked the person. Their answer: “Are you from around here, are you willing to come back in 3 + days”. If I said no, they wouldn’t even take it out of the case. Now some dealers, did Not ask, BUT, required You to Pay for it, before they, ‘called it in’. (And stated if you are Denied you would get all your money back). But if, ‘Delayed’. Tough, they did NOT care, if you came back. They used YOUR money for free. AND, if you came back over 30 days. You had to start ALL over again!. Just after Clinton left office, it went right back to about 2%, ‘Delay'. Now here comes, ‘King Bama’. He learned. ‘Hard to take away Freedom, from Citizens of a Country, that was BUILT, on Freedom’. So he did the next best thing. Remove Ammo. (Sure, Hoarding, because of fear contributed), BUT ‘Bammies’ orders for his, agents’, were to Buy, Buy, Buy. Exactly the same as JFK did, with his Cuban Cigars, just before he declared the embargo. One was personal wants. One was, ‘Gun Control’. Hitlery get’s in, Ammo priced will, JUMP again, and the shortage will get worse. Trump get’s in. Will find all you want. (but of course the prices will be higher than they were before BO) Gun Control, the S L O W way. Just like the frog, in a pan of cold water. |
