Title: Fixtit,,, without duct tape
Post by justin_o_guy2 on 08/24/16 at 20:48:24

The cheek pads on my helmet were fluffy enough to push on the temple pieces on my glasses. Every vibration of the helmet made the glasses move. Every tiny twitch of the glasses made the world wiggle. In the rain it was okay. It was hazy anyway.
But today on the trip to Tyler, it was annoying..
So,
The small upholstery needle and some curved needle nose pliers and about an hour of futzing around and I was able to sew the foam rubber down enough to clear the glasses. I can wiggle the helmet and not see any world wiggling around and the pressure I was feeling on my nose is gone.

Years back, I used to have long hair, and my 'open face' helmet fitted me a treat.
My baby son got in the habit of 'pulling Dad's hair' to see what happened.
The hair got mowed.
Helmet felt loose.
A rabbit skin and super-glue cured it!

I think back now, 25 years later, and I can't believe I went riding without all the gear  :(

How'd it hold up in the shower?
