Title: white spacer questions...
Post by Arcreefer on 08/19/16 at 13:45:09

First off, I'd like to thank you guys for all the help.   Now on to my current predicament...
I picked up #4 nylon spacers that were 1/16" thick to replace the original.  I only put one in and I lost the original.  Looked like if I put 2, 1/16" washers in I'd be at the top of the needle.
Question 1) How thick is original spacer (1/8")?
Question 2) Would using one 1/16" washer make too rich a mix?

From the tech ref:

White spacer thickness = approx. 2.8mm or .111"

Arcreefer < you take the old spacer out,THEN, put in two of the new washers .That's what lifts the needle. If the washers you have are to thick you can sand down the stock spacer using sand paper and a level surface like glass.Work slowly and remove about 1/2. The guys around here use #4 machine washers I believe there brass and much thinner than what you have ,it sounds to me like you should be using only one of what you have.1/16=.0635in=1.58mm==just over half the old spacer, that should work fine)You still might be running a little lean at sea level but if you take a ride up to a volcano you'll be running rich .
