Title: Rims that fit Post by SavageMan99 on 07/30/16 at 06:25:54 What are choices that fit or are a close fit for our bikes? Looking for wagon spoke rims. Big fat tires are not necessary. |
Title: Re: Rims that fit Post by Dave on 07/30/16 at 06:36:47 You can find a lot of really good information in the Technical Section, and there is a Table of Contents with links that makes it easy to use. Here is a link to the cast wheel thread. http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1366486692 |

Title: Re: Rims that fit Post by justin_o_guy2 on 07/30/16 at 13:38:55 Maybe you can find wheels that will do what you want that nobody has found. Maybe you will solve the problem many have tried to solve. |
Title: Re: Rims that fit Post by SavageMan99 on 07/30/16 at 13:53:23 Well, that is what I was asking I see them on our bikes, wondering how it was done. Does the axle bolt need modding? Does the swing arm stay the same? Are different shocks needed? Anything with a belt drive on it? I saw the part about the brake rotor. |
Title: Re: Rims that fit Post by verslagen1 on 07/30/16 at 15:46:49 If you choose the wheels in the linked thread, then the instructions are there. If not, then the variables are vast. choose a common axle sizes or deal with it. choose a common disc size or deal with it. choose a 6 lug pulley/sprocket damper or deal with it. choose a common drum size or deal with it. you won't give me a starting point so... deal with it. |
Title: Re: Rims that fit Post by norm92de on 07/30/16 at 16:17:51 Talking about rims. I seem to remember seeing a Suzuki s40/savage with an alloy rim on the front, not aftermarket, but in the showroom. Yes? :-/ |
