It is my first attempt.
It is based on a true personal experience.
My hope is that it might provide hope and inspiration to others who read it.
It starts with a tragedy, binds 4 main individuals together through out 20 years of litigation.
It will have a happy ending, but not based upon where they invested that hope....

Anybody else write a book?

Go for it Raydawg. I wanted to write when I was younger but I let the pressures and responsibilities of life take precedence. I did not want to write a book, I was more interested in short stories that could possibly be published in a magazine.

My father has written at least one book and a number of short stories. And my oldest son says he is going to write a screenplay. I have encouraged him to do so.

Raydawg, my best wishes to you. I would be very interested in seeing the finished product.

as a younker I wrote quite a few short stories and even a couple books
and then tossed them in the trash when I didn't like the finished product

I've done occasional articles for an antique car magazine or two, but never attempted a book. Good luck with your project.

Thanks guys.....
I will let those interested see the first draft.
I will most likely finish it after I retire in just over a year.
My wife and attorney really pushed me into believing I can do this....
My oldest son is a copy writer and advertising guru who will hold my twisted sense of humor to account, tho I am not sure how as he is almost as strange as me ;D

I'd say go for it!

I don't think I am a writer, but the key to becoming one is to write. Something will be better than others. I have been writing sermons and lessons for a long time. And it seems that once Sunday is over, it is time to start getting ready for Sunday again. But those are sermons, more speeches, than books or stories.

I have been writing a devotion every morning for the last I don't know how long. I have enjoyed the challenge and the self discipline it takes. Again, some are better than others. If anyone is interested in signing up for the devotions, here is the link.

I've written a few pretty clever lines on bathroom walls...

My ninth grade English teacher passed out Haiku samples from students from years gone by as an introduction to Haiku, then we wrote ours. She ditched all of the samples she had been using and took mine to use after that.
