Title: Overheating under way Post by Redryder652 on 07/23/16 at 12:19:51 It's getting very hot here in northern Jersey, about 100F. I usually shut the Bike down at a long light, but say I'm doing 65 mph on the interstate, is it gonna overheat that way? Or even 30 on a sideroad? |

Title: Re: Overheating under way Post by batman on 07/23/16 at 12:56:57 Good way to die! you shouldn't have it shut off or even in neutral! At a light ,you should be checking your mirrors to see if a car's about to ram your butt, what are you going to do? push it out of the way!Oil in an air cooled motor helps carry away heat as well as lubricate ,turning it off isn't helping! |

Title: Re: Overheating under way Post by batman on 07/23/16 at 13:18:36 RR, I believe 15/40 dino can handle 350degrees F ,T-6 500, our bike's oil never gets there even in the hottest weather......Consumption rate depends on factors like riding style ,speed and your motor.(how's your rings). |
