I readily integrate My bacon with lettuce and tomatoes..and jammit in a sammich.

No, Christians didn't ban bacon. That edict came from higher up. Look in Leviticus.
It all changed when He was crucified.
So, the food Laws were lifted a bit over 2,000 years ago.
Doesn't mean that Following them wouldn't tend to result in better health.
