Title: Clutch cable bend issue
Post by Redryder652 on 07/16/16 at 12:00:47

I have a 2006 s40 with not the stock bars but with standard ones. My issue is that the stock clutch cable has a bend in it at the perch, and it would work way better without that bend. Where could I find a clutch cable that's just a straight shot? I just want to eliminate the squiggle in the cable.

Red,

Post a picture of your clutch handle and cable.

I can't right now, but it's the one coming out of the perch, made of steel and painted black. Rigid so it does not bend.

Both Barnett and Motion Pro offer custom cable building.
If you get real enthusiastic, you can make your own. I spent some time today making/modifying throttle cables for a friend's CJ360 Mikuni conversion. Not exactly rocket surgery  ::)

You could get a tubing bender an bend it straight, make sure it"s the right size ,and go slow, little at a time.(that's how they bent it)
