Title: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by LANCER on 07/16/16 at 05:28:16 I ran across this in the latest issue of Motorcycle Classics. An all new, remanufactured engine up to 800cc, and with a new bike warranty. :) http://www.triumphclassicmotorcycles.com/TT%20Special%20Brochure.pdf |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by KennyG on 07/16/16 at 06:44:39 Lancer, As soon as my ship comes in I am going to have one of the Classic Triumphs.. I could love a bike like that. Kenny G :) |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Art Webb on 07/16/16 at 06:56:39 great, now i drooled all over my keyboard wonder what the thing costs? DON'T ANSWER THAT! ;D |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Ruttly on 07/16/16 at 07:02:23 That's one sexy machine. Would look good in my collection. But it needs 2 carb head. Need to know how much $$$$$ |

As the man said, "If you need to ask, you can't afford it." 8-) My leg STILL gets sore when I think about starting the 750 Norton..... :-[ |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Kris01 on 07/16/16 at 09:10:08 The 750 Commando is even worse than the standard 750! |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Kris01 on 07/16/16 at 09:48:05 Whoops! I meant the Combat Commando! It has 10:1 compression compared to the standard 9:1. |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Ruttly on 07/16/16 at 10:14:16 Being able to afford it and getting what you pay for is two different things. And the wife has to like it! Should have seen her face when I bought the Savage , looked like she just douched with lemon juice !!! LMAO Wasn't happy for days. |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Ruttly on 07/16/16 at 10:21:41 There is another company building similar bikes but they start with the new Triumphs and they have happy buttons $$$$$ Well what's the price tag say? |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by justin_o_guy2 on 07/16/16 at 11:19:33 312 pounds,,, sleek, svelte, sexy, and if I was rich, SOLD,, |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by LANCER on 07/16/16 at 11:43:20 The price ? ? A very gentle $20, 000. [ch128516] Oh, the 2 carb head is just a hair more, as is the hotter cam and larger engine and, and, and ... |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by KennyG on 07/16/16 at 12:15:16 Depending on what carburetor they are using on it you will be better off with the one carb head. That way you can change to decent carburetor if they are using a vintage Amal. Kenny G |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Ruttly on 07/16/16 at 12:50:13 That's no Amal carb. The twin carbed 650s are really fast . The price is fair considering a restored would be between 10 & 16 and about 15 to buy & build , much funner to buy & ride. Oh hell got 10 in the savage & still not quite ready for seat & paint. Finish next winter , meanwhile I'm riding it ! |

Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Ruttly on 07/16/16 at 23:10:57 That's it the dual carb street tracker, that bike will be in my dreams tonight! And not in my garage anytime soon! Gets pretty pricey pretty fast with that options list. Im not good with options lists , I want them all. What is it they say " In for a penny , In for a pound ". No more cookie cutter bikes for Ruttly !!! |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by zipidachimp on 07/17/16 at 02:00:46 Bah! I got a 650 tracker like that, a S40, cost me $2900 and a few months labour and some parts! 8-) Maybe just as fast. 8-) |

Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Ruttly on 07/17/16 at 13:03:53 Chimp, Somewhere on this site I saw a Couple of pics of a Savage somewhat modified and fitted with a Triumph seat , it was very cool looking. |

Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by zipidachimp on 07/17/16 at 13:42:24 I bought a new Triumph seat at a swap meet for $75, now I gotta figure how to mount it. I've seen those photos too! The Triumph America is way too heavy for me. Looks nice though. 8-) |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Dave on 07/18/16 at 04:24:12 My friend in Cincinnati just bought a new Bonneville, and picked it up Saturday. He said the 1,200 cc engine was incredibly torquey, and smooth, and that it is a very nice size and he can get both feet flat on the ground! The dealer can't keep them in stock, and most bikes are sold while the day they arrive and are still in the crate. http://www.pjsmotorcycles.com/inventory/v1/Current/Triumph/Modern-Classics/2016-Bonneville-T120/2-Tone--Albuquerque-New-Mexico---3832821 |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by justin_o_guy2 on 07/18/16 at 05:06:48 Hmm, 'magine That,, strap Two six hunnert cc cylinders side by side , poke it in a motorcycle chassis and it's torquey.. That blasted thing is beautiful.. now I gotta go Read about it.. |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by zipidachimp on 07/18/16 at 13:40:56 Dave: I've seen on another site that 1200 bonnies are sold out. Weird, can remember when 650/750 nortons and bonnies, then cb750s were the biggest available, and they were fast. 1200 just seems so over the top. Times have really changed! 8-) |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Dave on 07/18/16 at 13:57:20 It seems that there are a few Bonnies that are in transit and not promised - but as soon as they hit the dealership they are sold almost immediately.....and evidently the two-tone cranberry and silver models get snapped up in a hurry. |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by LANCER on 07/18/16 at 17:49:50 I want one. |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by KennyG on 07/18/16 at 21:40:02 My niece's husband just purchased a new Bonneville in Pennsylvania and had to wait for it and pay full list price. Something I noticed on a Sunday biker's meet for coffee that I go to, next to Harley the Triumph bikes are the greatest number present. Kind of reminds me of 1960. Kenny G |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Ruttly on 07/19/16 at 12:16:10 Kenny , When you think about it that's a very cool thing that those bikes are still with us in both old & new forms! True Classics never go away ! |
Title: Re: SLOBBER SLOBBER Post by Gus on 07/21/16 at 12:54:50 Those TT's are one foxy bike! I like it! |
