Title: Re: Holy Sprocket Carriers, Batman! Post by Armen on 06/29/16 at 19:48:39 It is the rear sprocket carrier from my Savage. Treated to a diet program on a CNC mill ;) |

Title: Re: Holy Sprocket Carriers, Batman! Post by Armen on 06/29/16 at 19:55:26 It gets stupider than that. I'm Heli-Coiling the holes and running button-head stainless allens threaded into the hub to clean up the look. It's a sickness, and I ain't looking for a cure.... |

Title: Re: Holy Sprocket Carriers, Batman! Post by batman on 06/30/16 at 10:31:41 Well if your going to use "BATMAN" I'll have to chime in ,and ask ,do you have to use sealed bearing with this? |
Title: Re: Holy Sprocket Carriers, Batman! Post by Armen on 06/30/16 at 11:41:03 For reasons which escape me, the Japanese use 2RS (double rubber shield) bearings in the hub, and RS (single side shield) bearings in the sprocket carrier. Any chance I have I swap out the sprocket carrier bearing to a 2RS bearing. Cheap and easy and makes things a bit tidier. |
