It is the rear sprocket carrier from my Savage. Treated to a diet program on a CNC mill  ;)

It gets stupider than that. I'm Heli-Coiling the holes and running button-head stainless allens threaded into the hub to clean up the look.
It's a sickness, and I ain't looking for a cure....

The first step is admitting there's a problem.  ;D

Well if your going to use "BATMAN" I'll have to chime in ,and ask ,do you have to use sealed bearing with this?

For reasons which escape me, the Japanese use 2RS (double rubber shield) bearings in the hub, and RS (single side shield) bearings in the sprocket carrier. Any chance I have I swap out the sprocket carrier bearing to a 2RS bearing. Cheap and easy and makes things a bit tidier.
