Hi All

Really great to be on this Forum and hope to drain all your fantastic brain of info to help me get my project off the garage floor and on the road.

Please could i ask for help in identifying the year model of my Savage as i do not have much to go on unfortunately. if there are any other serial number that i do not know of on the engine etc please inform me.

The papers do not say the year...
all i know is that its a Suzuki Savage 400cc

Maybe knowing what country you are in would help as well.....they never brought the 400cc bike to the US.

This is one of the EU frame numbers.

You have a "K" were we have a "P" for your 400cc bike.
And that's also indicated in the engine number.

I am in South Africa, they also never brought the 400cc to SA. It was road worthy in 2008 according to the papers but since then was left in a garage since. i purchased it 4 Months ago and is now being brought back to life... hence why i need the year to order parts etc.

I was made aware that the 650 and 400 are exactly the same besides for the Crank and Piston. This leaves me to believe i can order a gasket set for my 400 from Suzuki SA from a 650 Vin.

Most parts are interchangeable regardless of the year.
