Does anyone have any experience with the Suzuki accessory Pillow Gel seat? Are they any good?

I tried one and wasn't very impressed, it seemed to much money for little if any improvement in comfort.I'm now running an after market Harley seat (Mustang).

I stay with the stock seat, it's not bad. But if the factory accessory seat was a big improvement I'd give it a try.

If you search for gel pad, or medical gel pad, on the internet you will find a lot of stuff, including just the gel itself and the prices will be better and the products a whole lot better than those for the motorcycle seats.
If you want a quality gel seat then get some of the gel itself and put it inside the seat you have now.  Remove the foam that is inside now, or most of it, and put the gel in its place and reinstall the seat cover.  You can then ride all day in comfort.
The gel comes in 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4" thick pads of assorted sizes.
Pick what you want and pay the money.
It does cost a more than a few $$, but you will not be disappointed.
Instead of a tiny piece the size of a wallet like you find in most "gel seats", you can cover your entire seat from end to end.
The stuff lasts forever almost and can be moved from seat to seat if you decide you want to change styles/shapes, etc.
I have a piece I've had for over 10 years that I cut to the shape of the seat I like using it in,  It is on my shelf now, waiting for its next job of protecting my butt the way I have become accustomed to.

All good info, thanks. I get along well with the stock seat, but if the factory accessory seat was a big improvement I'd be willing to give it a try. The stocker is comfortable enough that I wont bother with trying to modify it.
