Hey guys, I just replaced my petcock with a new (genuine) raptor as I was starting to see some intermittent fuel starvation on my 09. Everything went smooth enough. However, I noticed when I turned the fuel on that there was a small drip where the fuel line plugs into the carb. Nothing too dramatic but a noticeable drip. I tried to reseat the line and make sure the clamp was tight but no luck.

I assume I just need to replace the fuel line and the clamps (looks like it's around $10) but wanted to check in here in case there might be something I'm missing or a trick to this that I don't know about!

Drey,

The correct fuel line for our Savage/S40 motorbikes is 8mm. While it is difficult to find it is available at Kubota Tractor Dealers.

You can make 5/16" fuel line work. With either the 8mm or 5/16" fuel line you will need the kind of clamps that are made out of wire that you open with a pliers.

You can sometimes just trim off a half an inch of line and reconnect...
The tubing gets stretched on the ends... :-?
