Title: Lifting the savage
Post by Redryder652 on 05/31/16 at 19:09:24

So I wanted to lift my savage for some rear wheel maintenance, and I have a block of wood that I lift the bike onto. But I think I bottomed out the exhaust on the wood if you know start I mean. So there was pressure being put on the bottom of the exhaust. But the frame was also sitting on the block too. Could that have boogered up the head? Or would the pipe bend first. Or should I not worry because there is a compression gasket.

Worse case scenario you'll break the header bolts first. You should be ok.
