Title: Vehicle ages
Post by HovisPresley on 05/15/16 at 20:59:29

It occurred to me today that the combined age of the four bikes that I own is.... 176 years!

I had to put down my beer and double-check it on the abacus-type-thingy...

:o

I had an epidural, rather than a general anaesthetic, so I was awake when they were cutting, drilling and getting the torgue settings right....  ;)

Cool! But I've never been a bling man myself. And hopefully I will keep it that way.

I added up the ages of the 4 motorcycle I own, and I got 45 years.

I am not sure if I need to buy older motorcycles......or just buy more of them! :)

Oooooh!  I just remembered that I have 3 Honda Mini Trails.....1 bike is finished, and 2 are waiting to be restored.  One is a 1969, the other 2 are 1968 models......those 3 bikes alone are good for 143 years!

Add the 45 years for the other bikes.....and I am up to 188!

;D Looks that way!  I hope I was wearing something with a zip at the time of the Xray..... I don't remember swallowing anything metallic...  ;D

v-pilot, you have some very tasty bikes!
I used to have a Triumph 900 Trophy (without fairing) so pretty much the same as a Trident. Heavy, aren't they?

I only own bikes, never owned a car (or a car licence), but I do appreciate the classics, especially the big American V8's.
I think I posted a few pics of my step-dad's cars from his drag-racing days.

So;
1971 MZ ES250/2 Trophy
1969 Honda CD175 (sloper)
1996 Savage
1952 Francis Barnett Falcon (197cc Villiers engine) pictured:

Hey Hovis, Yeah the Trident is pretty heavy.  It's the bike I throw the bags on for trips.  Too sewing machine smooth though.  It's got a full Motad exhaust so at least it sounds good.  I need a cage as I'm a contractor and I don't do rain on 2 wheels
